Master Gardener Day

So, today is my master gardener class. On the agenda for the day is soil and pruning. We already had a pruning class, so, hope this is more information, but pruning seems easy. At least for trees. We have not had a soil class yet, so, it should be interesting.
I am taking this class so I have the tools needed to grow food. I have little interest in anything else, although the information on landscaping has heightened my awareness of some stuff I could improve around here, and has helped me understand lawns better. I used to think if it was green it should be paved over. Now, I rather enjoy the feel of soft plush grass. Until I get my own, I will have to use others lawns to get that feeling.
